Arsenal blitzed PSV, scoring seven goals, now it must back it up against Manchester United.
Arsenal's 7-1 win over PSV has come at perhaps the perfect time for Mikel Arteta's side who were beginning to sink beneath the waves of doubt.
After back-to-back games of no goals, the Gunners' new-look attack of Mikel Merino, Leandro Trossard, and Ethan Nwaneri managed to find their attacking rhythm, with the help of Jurrien Timber against PSV.
Three goals in 30 first-half minutes saw the Gunners' confidence, which had been lacking in the previous two games, return with a vengeance, and that was the catalyst for the 7-1 win.
Now, the biggest question we ponder is what we saw against PSV going to be the "norm" or was it simply luck that things came together at the right time?
Will Arsenal's attack light up United?
That is the hope, right? The last thing Arteta wants is after what he saw against PSV, for his side to then revert to the toothless attack we were starting to get used to.
And he's hoping that against United, things continue as they did midweek.
"Yes it goes through momentum and what the game provides because we’ve been really good in certain games but the result wasn’t coming fast enough," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "But [against PSV] things were coming at the right moment, in the right time, in the right way and that’s very helpful, but every game is different.

Arteta is right. The game is all about moments.
Playing on the road, against United, if a chance presents itself early, the Gunners simply have to take it, and what will then come from that could be something similar to what transpired against PSV.
No, we aren't talking scoring seven goals, but more so the way in which the team plays in attack and whether or not the fluid movements we saw can be replicated.
It felt like the pressure valve was released against PSV and we spoke at length about what the result could do mentally for the Gunners and at Old Trafford, we will find out.
Will the Arsenal that ripped through PSV be on show? Or the toothless attack that was on show against West Ham return?
That is perhaps the most intriguing question aimed at Arsenal against United and it is hoped that the Gunners will be able to look somewhat formidable going forward.
