Arsenal will have had six days rest before facing PSG in the Champions League semi-finals.

Once the whistle blew to make Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace official, attention immediately turned to the Gunners' next game - PSG in the Champions League semi-finals.

After brushing aside Real Madrid over two legs, the Gunners now face the french champs with the first leg, as it was against Real, at the Emirates.

It looms as a great chance for the Gunners to take a lead into the second leg, as it did in the quarter-finals.

And a couple of things have happened that might suggest that the Gunners are in good order ahead of the tie.

The first one is six days break.

Given the size, or lack of, for Mikel Arteta, getting nearly a full week of rest before what could be described as the biggest game under Arteta's guidance is ideal.

With key players needing rest to be all gas and no brakes ahead of the first leg, in theory, Arsenal should be "primed" for this. They played at home against Palace, and don't have to travel for the first leg.

So that's one good thing.

The next is that PSG, who were undefeated in Ligue 1, were beaten 3-1 by Nice in their last league outing.

Hmm, is there anything in that?

Granted, we could be clutching at straws here, but at this stage of the Champions League, even little wins are big, like PSG losing and Arsenal drawing. The Gunners being at home and PSG having to travel.

They might seem like small details that don't matter, but who knows, if Arsenal, who will be fresh after six days off, and playing at home, start fast, score a couple of early goals and take a 2-0 lead into the second leg, those small details will look substantial.

Either way, the Gunners will be looking for any small advantage they can get ahead of the first leg and as we saw against Real Madrid, a great performance in the first leg, can set up the second leg to be much easier than it otherwise would have been.

So Arsenal has had more rest, is at home, and has the football world on their side. But this PSG team is not to be taken lightly, which is why any small win like a six-day break, could prove decisive.
