Arsenal was again forced to settle for a draw in the Premier League, this time at home to Everton, leaving Kai Havertz rather annoyed.

It is now back-to-back Premier League games in which Arsenal has dominated every facet of the game yet couldn't manage to claim three points.

The Gunners' 0-0 draw with Everton at the Emirates had a lot of emotions, one being frustration as Arsenal created ample chances, but a stubborn Toffees backline held the home team at bay.

With Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard having "off days" the Gunners failed to create many clear-cut chances, meaning Everton didn't really have to do too much to escape with a point.

It is now four points dropped in two games for Arsenal, and Kai Havertz isn't impressed.

“It’s very frustrating," Havertz said via arsenal.com. "I think we controlled the game very well and didn’t allow them any chances. We didn’t manage to score and of course that’s frustrating, because we wanted to win the game. They are a tough team to break down. They are very solid in the box. Just the little details in the box, we didn’t manage to do them. We didn’t find the final pass. Sometimes I think the positioning in the box wasn’t perfect so we have to look at that and make it better next game.”

While the two draws will sting the Gunners, we are about to run salt into the wounds because Liverpool, who are currently leading Arsenal in the title race by two points with a game in hand, have also drawn their last two outings.

So Arsenal has had two chances to bridge the gap between itself and Arne Slot's team but failed both times, and we can be fairly certain that Liverpool's little "slump" won't last too much longer.

It was a great chance to put pressure on Liverpool, and the Gunners failed both times, but Havertz is more intent on keeping the focus on his own team.

“Firstly, I think we try to look at ourselves,” Havertz said. “Win games, get points. I think that’s the most frustrating point today. That we didn’t do that. We want to win games. We have to win that game today. We try to be positive, stick together as a group and make it better next time.”

Arsenal's next two games against Crystal Palace are the EFL Quarter-Final and the league at the weekend.

While it might be early in the season, the Gunners can't afford to be wasting too many more chances to close the gap on the league leaders.
