Off the back of winning the Premier League for the first time in 22 years, Arsenal are reportedly keen to bolster their squad even further by adding more quality to their set-up, but so far, they haven't really shown any signs of doing so.
Apart from the usual rumours, the most exciting of which being an attempt to sign Bruno Guimarães from Newcastle, the Gunners have been very quiet in the market while watching their rivals complete brilliant business.
If Mikel Arteta's side are to create somewhat of a dynasty with an era of silverware domination, they seriously need to step up in the transfer window before they fall behind.
Arsenal need to step up in the transfer window before they fall behind

Arsenal started the window eager to sign youngster Jeremy Monga from Leicester City, but in recent days they have been beaten to his signature by Manchester City despite being close to getting it done for so long.
An inability to get a deal over the line for the youngster has been their first failure in a window that has really failed to entertain to this point.
The Gunners have technically already made a signing, confirming Piero Hincapié has joined the club permanently after spending the 2025/26 season on loan in North London from Bayer Leverkusen, but that was a deal everybody expected so it's hardly exciting.
Last week saw reports emerge that Arteta's side had made an offer to sign Bruno Guimarães, but that was done through intermediaries with no contact with Newcastle happening just yet. The initial bid of less than £60million was rejected immediately.
The only other concrete links with a new signing so far have come from Illan Meslier being named as a potential backup goalkeeper option should Kepa Arrizabalaga leave the club in the summer.
The 26-year-old shotstopper is available to sign as a free agent after leaving Leeds United at the end of last season. However, even as a secondary choice behind David Raya, fans aren't thrilled at the prospect of signing the Frenchman given his error-prone reputation. He failed to make an appearance for Leeds last campaign after falling out of favour at Elland Road.
Aside from those possible deals, the red half of North London has been very quiet on the transfer front so far, and even with the World Cup ongoing, Arsenal need to step up in their efforts to bolster their squad to prevent falling behind.
Tottenham have already made statement signings, bringing in Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke for big fees, striking an agreement for Sandro Tonali and signing Andrew Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Martin Dúbravka on free transfers.
Those are huge moves for a club that narrowly avoided relegation last season so there is no reason why the reigning Premier League champions can't do the same. Spurs are rebuilding their entire set-up while the Gunners are eager to go one step further to become a dominant silverware winning force.
Andrea Berta has made changes to his recruitment team this summer so there should still be a willingness to get business done where possible, but he has a big task on his hands to now get the club rolling in the market.
Arsenal need to take a look around them and see their rivals doing business and know that defending their title won't be a foregone conclusion despite major changes occuring at multiple clubs. They need to step up in the window, identify their key targets and do the business to avoid falling behind.
