It's WrestleMania season, the one time Arsenal fans can watch athletes getting hurt and putting themselves at risk of injury, without being concerned. While we would hate to see Bukayo Saka on the top rope, nothing beats seeing Cody Rhodes up there.
Which got us thinking. What if, in some mystical parallel universe, Arsenal players took over the WWE universe? Hear us out.
We're going to compare the WWE superstars who are competing at this year's WrestleMania to Arsenal players, past and present.

Arsenal players as WWE Wrestlemania stars
Cody Rhodes x Bukayo Saka
As eluded to earlier, there is a hefty similarity between Cody Rhodes and Bukayo Saka. The overarching link between the American Nightmare and the Arsenal Starboy is how they are held dearly by both sets of fans.
WWE fans love Cody Rhodes. He has been the star of the moment for, well, much longer than just a moment. He carried WWE through a tough period and he is now reaping the rewards as the most adored superstar. This is similar to Bukayo Saka, who carried Arsenal through their toughest period and is now worshipped by the Arsenal fans.
Cody Rhodes came through the WWE his entire life. The same can be said for Bukayo Saka at Arsenal, being a Hale End graduate and now a first-team staple piece.
Bianca Belair x Caitlin Foord
Oftentimes overlooked, but permanently reliable. Bianca Belair and Arsenal striker Caitlin Foord share these traits. The EST delivered at the Elimination Chamber, and now she will take the centre stage at WrestleMania.
Caitlin Foord has played for Arsenal since 2020, and during this time, she's come up with the goods on multiple occasions. The Australian scored four goals in one match for Arsenal at the start of this season, to propel the Gunners into the Champions League.
So, both superstars have played an integral part in their respective fields.
John Cena x Robin van Persie
At the time of John Cena's heel-turn, it was often described on social media in terms of other sports. For Arsenal fans, the closest feeling was when Robin van Persie signed for Manchester United.
John Cena was the face of the WWE for many years. Fans adored him, and he reverberated the love right back to the WWE universe with his "hustle, loyalty, respect" and "never give up" messaging. Then, he gave up on the WWE universe right towards the end, selling his soul to The Rock and going corporate.
Sound familiar, Arsenal fans? Yep, Robin van Persie turned heel when John Cena was in his peak babyface era. The Dutch striker, despite carrying the Gunners for many years, sold his soul to Arsenal's longest rivals, Man United.
Roman Reigns x Declan Rice
Roman Reigns is one of the most powerful superstars in the WWE. He is also a workhorse, being involved in many different main events. In the upcoming WrestleMania, Roman Reigns is due to main event for the 10th time, the most of any superstar ever.
While Declan Rice is yet to achieve history at Arsenal, he is best-placed to do so. The midfield general shares a similar winning attitude to Roman and is prepared to put his body on the line for the sake of his fans.
Roman Reigns is the tribal chief, and Declan Rice is the midfield chief for Arsenal.
Rhea Ripley x Katie McCabe
Rhea Ripley is one of the most dominant forces in the WWE locker room. With her brute force and aggressive personality, she is respected and feared by her counterparts.
For Arsenal fans, the same rings true for Katie McCabe. The Irish full-back makes her presence known on the pitch and she isn't afraid to get stuck in, making her a feared opponent for any player.
McCabe said "I’ve had officials say certain comments to me, indicating for me to behave before I’ve even stepped foot on the pitch," showing she is known to cause trouble. Much like Ripley, there is a certain fear attached to her aura... which Arsenal fans love.
