Arsenal teenager Ethan Nwaneri has broken through into the starting XI, but should Mikel Arteta keep him there?
It has been quite the Arsenal rise for Ethan Nwaneri over the past couple of months, with the teenager thrust into the starting side and frankly, looking at home.
Due to the injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, Nwaneri was given his debut by Mikel Arteta and the teen sensation hasn't looked back.
Having already scored eight times this season and is now firmly entrenched in Arteta's side, with just nine games left in the season, Nwaneri can really push to end the year on the highest of highs.
But with Saka set to return, at least from the bench after the international break, Arteta has an interesting decision to make, especially with the league title for all intents and purposes, out of reach.
Does Nwaneri continue on as he has to get valuable experience so that next season, he can further fast-track his development and become an even better player?
Or does Arteta shield him somewhat from the growing expectations and let Ethan slowly announce himself to the football world (even though he already has)?
Inside Arteta's Nwaneri balancing act
Having started to get Nwaneri opportunities in the Carabao Cup, it was a small sample size of football that Ethan was exposed to, and one could easily say that Arteta's slow approach to getting him into the starting side was the right way to go.
But now, there's something that must be considered - expectations being placed too high.

It isn't feasible for Nwaneri to continue performing at the pace he is for Arsenal for the rest of his career, he is young, and there will be dips in form. But Arteta won't want to run the teenager into the ground this season and have Ethan hitting preseason in poor form.
Which is where Saka's return could be pivotal.
With Bukayo back, Nwaneri can drift out of the spotlight and go back to substitute appearances, and he can continue to dazzle in preparation for what could be a big season next year.
Of course, the flip side is fans haven't had too much to cheer about of late, and seeing Nwaneri strut his stuff for the rest of the year and against Real Madrid will be good for the soul.
Which way will Arteta go?
