Mikel Arteta confident in Arsenal rebound vs. Chelsea after Inter performance

Arsenal suffered its first Champions League defeat of the campaign, going down 1-0 to Inter Milan, bur Mikel Arteta is confident his team will rebound against Chelsea.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side continues to remain on struggle street, going down 1-0 to Inter Milan at the San Siro despite playing significantly better than in previous weeks.
Inter's Hakan Calhanoglu scored the game's only goal from the spot just before half time, with the Gunners feeling hard done by to be behind after controlling large parts of the half.
With the loss, the Gunners have won just once in their last four outings, which was a 3-0 win over Preston in the Carabao Cup, as Arteta's team just can't seem to find a winning groove consistently like it did last campaign.
While the Gunners fell to defeat in Europe, domestically, things aren't much better with fourth-placed Chelsea next on the schedule for Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
For Arteta, despite losing for the first time in Europe this season, he is confident that if his team plays the way they did against Inter, they'll be just fine against Chelsea.
"If we play the way we play, we‘ll have a big chance to win against Chelsea," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "That‘s the way we have to go. I told them that I’m proud of them. I haven‘t seen them play in Europe in the manner that we have today. We are disappointed because we didn’t get what we wanted out of the game, that’s for sure."
A bright spot for the Gunners was the return of Martin Odegaard, who came on in the dying minutes with the skipper set to play an important role in helping his team finally get back into the groove of winning.
That will be a little trickier against a Chelsea team that is soemthing of an enigma this season, so we aren't sure exactly what to expect. The same could be said for Arsenal.
Defensively, the team doesn't look as stout as we have become accustomed to over the 18 months, with the last time David Raya kept a clean sheet was back on October 2, in a 1-0 win over PSG.
There can be no denying that for some reason, Arsenal just aren't clicking as it once did and yes injuries play a role in that, but at least the team performance against Inter was better, despite the result.
And Arteta is confident of a turnaround at Stamford Bridge if, and that's a big if, his team plays in the manner in which they did in Milan.
