Leandro Trossard got himself a brace in the 4-0 win over Ipswich Town.
Arsenal's 4-0 win over Ipswich Town kept Mikel Arteta's side on the straight and narrow in the hunt for securing Champions League football next season.
But what it also did was show that when the Gunners are able to have a full complement of players, they have some decent squad depth.
Leandro Trossard, who has often been cast as the "super sub" under Arteta as his ability to change games coming off the bench is well known. But when he's given a start, often he struggles to make the same kind of impact.
Which is why his brace against Ipswich was good for the soul.
Now, Trossard won't be starting if Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are fully fit, but having a winger to come in and still produce is like gold.
Trossard shines in win over Ipswich
While the Gunners will still look to improve the wide areas when the transfer window opens, but Trossard's performance against Ipswich shows that when he is on his game, good things happen for Arsenal in the attacking third.
His ability to dribble at and past defenders with his array of tricks, coupled with his two well-taken finishes, means that Arteta has a thread to pull if needed.
“I’m very confident," Trossard said via arsenal.com. "I think everyone needs to be on their toes and be ready to play. There are some big games coming up so I think everyone wants to be confident as well going into these games and I’m really happy with it. As forward players this is how you want to be, and it's good for everyone. It is always nice to be on the scoresheet to help your team to get a win so I'm really happy.”

No one can argue that Trossard's biggest issue has been his ability to produce this kind of performance regularly, and granted, when you are in and out of the lineup, that can be a challenge.
Trossard's nine goals from 49 games in all competitions shows the struggles, but when he's on his game as he was against Ipswich, he can be a useful weapon for Arteta.
With Arsenal set to feature heavily on all fronts next season, depth is key and if Trossard can perform to this level or near enough, the Gunners might be in good shape.
