With Riccardo Calafiori absent, Myles Lewis-Skelly remained at left back and repaid manager Mikel Arteta with a bright performance.
The academy graduate impressed in both an attacking and defensive sense. He combined well with his fellow players, making 32 accurate passes out of an attempted 34. Lewis-Skelly won a number of duels and also drew several fouls from opponents.
Arsenal's young left back battled well with his challenger Alejandro Garnacho and managed to keep him quiet for parts of the game. He was withdrawn at the beginning of extra-time, bringing an end to another good performance for Lewis-Skelly.
