The Gunners need more attacking weapons, but where should the club look to first?

As Arsenal and Mikel Arteta enter the summer, the squad's needs are glaring and obvious.

However, exactly where to start might be tough with the club already interested in signing Kepa Arrizabalaga to be David Raya's backup.

With funds not expected to be able to be shelled out willy-nilly, the Gunners and Andrea Berta must be smart and calculated in how they go about their summer business.

For most, the first port of call HAS to be signing a striker with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko seen as "the" guy the club will be going after.

But he will be expensive.

Then, a left winger to not only ease the pressure on Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, but to provide competition for the pair with Arteta wanting to raise the floor of his squad.

Where should Arsenal begin its summer shopping?

So, we have striker and left wing as the two top positions of need, but as CBS Sports' James Benge writes, those are positions that are "tough and expensive" swings, but they are ones that if the Gunners want to have a more legitimate chance at Premier League glory, the club has to make.

We saw how "close" if you want to call it that, the Gunners were this season to being the top dog in the Premier League, but the lack of investment last summer and in January hamstrung a team that was already thin at several positions.

The flow-on effect meant players had to play huge minutes regularly, and of course, injuries followed.

That can't be the same next season.

Yes, Sesko and a left winger will help, so too will Martin Zubimendi, and it is important to get deals done as soon as possible with the transfer window expected to pick up steam after the Club World Cup.

So, Arsenal's summer wish list is an easy thing to jot down, but which way the club goes first will tell us a lot about how it views the current squad.
