Arsenal have had an excellent start to the season so far, but it's not been perfect. The Brighton trip before the international break will have made Mikel Arteta extra cautious for any banana skins, but they head into this weekend's fixture as the favourites.

After impressing at the Allianz Arena in midweek, many players made a case for starting the game. The starting 11 Arteta had in his mind before this week may have been changed by that trip to Munich.

The most notable team news heading into this game is that Bukayo Saka is a doubt for this game. He was hooked off early in the Bayern game with what seems to be a quad issue. Arteta's only update so far is that it's 'not good'.

Arsenal vs Everton - Predicted starting 11

GK - David Raya. Never any doubt here. The first name on the team sheet - physically and metaphorically - is always Raya.

RB - Jurrien Timber. He didn't have the best performance in midweek against Bayern, and Ben White is certainly due some minutes, but I can't see Arteta going without Timber, who is one of the best fullbacks in the game right now.

CB - Cristhian Mosquera. William Saliba is still ruled out, but Ezri Konsa has been an excellent replacement. This is a nice opportunity for Arsenal to rotate, and hand Mosquera some much-needed minutes.

CB - Gabriel. After a terrific display in midweek against Bayern, Gabriel will look to carry over his form into the Premier League.

LB - Riccardo Calafiori. He was a little bit all over the place against Bayern, but in a game where the attack stole the show, it was hard for full-backs to shine. He will get another chance to reclaim his otherwise impressive form.

CM - Myles Lewis-Skelly. Lewis-Skelly should get a shot in the midfield. He has been one of Arsenal's best players this season, but he sat on the bench for 68 minutes before coming on in midweek, so he's well rested.

CM - Declan Rice. Man of the Match in midweek, the ever-great Declan Rice will continue to provide the heartbeat of Arsenal's midfield. Obviously.

CM - Martin Odegaard. Martin Odegaard was also superb against Bayern in midweek, with the captain being key to Arsenal's intricate style of play in transition.

RW - Noni Madueke. Ideally, he'd be playing on the left, but in light of Bukayo Saka's injury, Noni Madueke will step in to help on the right.

CF - Kai Havertz. We can't ignore that Havertz's patience is running thin, but he often performs when the pressure mounts. Hopefully, this weekend is one of those occasions.

LW - Eberechi Eze. Eze went from zero to hero very quickly, with an absolutely immense midweek performance. Hopefully, he rides the momentum and proves himself again at left wing. Tzolis might be out, but even if he wasn't, Eze should get the start here.
