Arsenal moved to within two points of Liverpool at the top of the table with an emphatic home win. Goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard gave the hosts a deserved win in which Liverpool's usually reliable keeper, Alisson, made two absolute howlers.
The first, with the score at 1-1 saw the Brazilian keeper rush out to clear the ball as Van Dijk ran in the opposite direction. As both players converged on the ball, Alisson took a wild kick at the ball and completely missed it. Martinelli had the freedom of the Emirates to roll the ball home.
Liverpool's hapless keeper was again at fault when Trossard put the ball through Alisson's legs at his nearpost to secure all three points for the Gunners.
