Arsenal return to FA Cup action as they welcome Wigan Athletic to the Emirates Stadium in the fourth round on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw at Brentford last time out to reduce their lead at the top of the Premier League to just four points. Noni Madueke put his side in front with a well-placed header to beat Caoimhin Kelleher, but Keane Lewis-Potter responded to ensure the points were shared.

Wigan's struggles continued in their previous outing as a 2-1 defeat at home to Reading saw their recent winless run extend to six games. Their last victory came when they won 1-0 at Preston North End to progress to this stage of the cup.

Having came from behind to secure a dominant 4-1 victory at Portsmouth in the last round, courtesy of a Gabriel Martinelli hat-trick, Mikel Arteta's side will be looking to secure a simple progression into the fifth round as they aim to end the season with multiple pieces of silverware.

Here's our preview of Arsenal's FA Cup clash with Wigan.

Arsenal team news

Mikel Arteta confirmed in his pre-match press conference he is likely to make changes for this game so fans can expect to see a heavily rotated side.

Viktor Gyökeres and Leandro Trossard could be among those to drop out with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli coming into the side in their place. Bukayo Saka could make a surprise start after coming off the bench at Brentford to make his return from injury.

Kepa Arrizabalaga will replace David Raya in between the sticks, just as he has done in both cup campaigns so far this season while Cristhian Mosquera could keep his place in defence after an impressive display at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Wigan Athletic: Arrizabalaga; White, Mosquera, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly; Eze, Norgaard, Rice; Saka, Jesus, Martinelli

Wigan team news

Baba Adeeko and Luke Robinson have both returned to training after spending time out with respective injruies, but neither will be ready to make their comebacks tomorrow.

James Carragher is doubtful after suffering a knock that has seen him miss the Latics' last two tests. Harry McHugh will join him on the sidelines as he is behind in his rehabilitation.

Jason Kerr could make his return while Sam Tickle will start in goal for Wigan. Ex-Arsenal academy star Matt Smith could also be involved after taking part in pre-match media duties.

Predicted Wigan Athletic lineup vs Arsenal: Tickle; Fox, Aimson, Kerr; Hunt, Weir, Smith, Murray; Bettoni, Wright; Taylor

Arsenal vs Wigan Athletic score prediction

With Wigan in very poor form coming into this tie and Arsenal essentially the opposite, despite their draw with London rivals Brentford, the hosts will be the overwhelming favourites for this matchup.

The Latics are really struggling near the bottom of League One while the Gunners are still in control of the Premier League title race. There is really only one outcome you can see at the Emirates and it has potential to be ugly for the visitors.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Wigan Athletic
