Ben White wants to return to the England set-up and has spoken to Thomas Tuchel over a potential comeback.
White earned four caps for the Three Lions between 2021 and 2022 but hasn't been called up to the national team squad since his fallout with the previous regime at the Qatar World Cup. Reports suggested that the Arsenal defender was unhappy with Gareth Southgate's assistant, Steve Holland, and later made himself unavailable for future squads.
Southgate, who left his post after England's defeat in the Euro 2024 final to Spain, said that there had been no disagreement between White and Holland, and "didn't know" why there was "reticence" from White post-Qatar.
"There is no issue between us at all and there's also no issue with Steve, which has been mentioned in articles and I don't like that," the former Three Lions boss told the BBC.
Nevertheless, with a new man at the helm, White's stance has changed.
Ben White confirms England availability after speaking with Thomas Tuchel

Tuchel was confirmed as Southgate's successor last autumn and officially started work on 1 January, 2025. He started with a pair of comfortable wins in 2026 World Cup qualifying in March, with England easing to victories over Albania and Latvia.
There was Arsenal representation in Tuchel's first squad, but White wasn't called up having just returned from knee surgery. However, the defender hopes to return to the national-team set-up having confirmed his availability.
“I’m definitely available," White told The Daily Mirror. "I spoke to Thomas Tuchel a few times and he’s such a nice, nice man, very honest.
"Obviously I haven’t been back for too long, so it’s just about playing now and hopefully making my way back in," he added.
It's been a frustrating season for White, who was playing through pain before undergoing surgery in November. He struggled for minutes after making his comeback in February, but has racked up a few starts during the run-in – generally for less consequential fixtures. The Englishman barely featured during Arsenal's run to the Champions League semi-finals.
White has manifested a rustier form since returning, but there's hope he'll be at full speed come the start of the 2025/26 season.
England are next in action in June, and although White is available for selection, a call-up seems unlikely. The Three Lions aren't exactly shy of stellar options at right-back, with the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Reece James, and Tino Livramento ranked ahead of White in the pecking order.
