Thomas Partey (DM) - 8/10 - Excellent in the first half at containing Brentford in transition via astute counter-pressing and smart positioning. Had an influence in and around the box in the opening period before enjoying a quieter second half.

Mikel Merino (CM) - 6/10 - Hopefully that goal inspires something within Merino, who otherwise looked clunky and slowed Arsenal's possession play down. He's not a player I'm currently enjoying, I must say.

Martin Odegaard (CM) - 6/10 - Odegaard hasn't quite been able to get in tune with those around him since Saka succumbed to a hamstring tear. Much of what he attempted at the Gtech didn't come off, but Arsenal require his imagination and invention.
