Bruno Guimarães continues recent scoring form with strike for Brazil

Bruno Guimarães got on the scoresheet as Brazil came from behind to defeat Australia 4-2 in a friendly at the Suncorp Stadium in Queensland.

It was the second meeting between the Seleção and the Socceroos in four days as the five-time World Cup champions bounced back from a dramatic 1-1 draw that saw Rayan rescue his side with a late equaliser in stoppage time.

Arsenal's summer signing Guimarães was integral in Brazil sealing the victory as he found the back of the net to add to his goal tally for the season and showing that his strengths go beyond his brilliance in midfield.

He struggled to make an impact as he started alongside Declan Rice in the Gunners' 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the final game before the break and received criticism for his performance in the miserable match on the South Coast.

However, Guimarães will be hoping his strike for Brazil will help him return to his best form upon making the comeback to club football in just over a week.
