Arsenal just beat Bayern Munich by a phenomenal scoreline of 3-1. As wild as this is to say, Arsenal never really looked like losing. They completely isolated Harry Kane, and they never went behind in the game.

The only goal that Arsenal conceded came from a freak long-ball and a deft touch from Michael Olise. Otherwise, Arsenal were pretty impossible to break through.

Heading into this match, Arsenal and Bayern Munich were the two best teams in the world. They were both leading the Champions League group phase, and both were scoring goals for fun.

However, coming out of the game, we can only dub one team as the best in the world.

Arsenal has completely flipped the script this season

Yes, Arsenal is the best team in the world right now. There is absolutely no way we can keep running away from it. Mikel Arteta is leading something frightening, and it won't be long until those 'where are the trophies' claims are silenced. There is no tangible way that Arsenal don't win something this season.

Arsenal is the best team in England by a country mile. They have proven it by remaining at the top of the table despite teams around them falling. Just tonight, for example, Liverpool and Tottenham embarrassed themselves in the Champions League.

But that's just the Premier League, right? Well, you're kinda right. It IS just the best, most competitive league in the world, but even pushing the Premier League to one side, Arsenal is making a name for itself in the Champions League now, too.

That win against Bayern Munich tonight is not to be sniffed at. Bayern were many people's favorites to lift the Champions League, and look, they are still pretty strong contenders. But Arsenal made them look like a pub team, if we're being completely frank.

Key signings made all the difference tonight, which would have been a pleasure for Arsenal fans. Eberechi Eze was sensational, Noni Madueke scored his first Champions League goal ever, and Martin Zubimendi pulled the strings throughout the entire match.

Everybody feared Harry Kane, and rightly so, but it was like he never even made the flight back to his homeland.

So, like it or lump it, Arsenal is the best team in the world right now. How long that lasts remains to be seen, but rival fans are surely waking up to this frankly unavoidable fact.
