Bukayo Saka hit an incredible milestone as he made his 300th appearance for Arsenal in their 1-0 victory away to Brighton on Wednesday night.

The winger celebrated the landmark moment in the perfect way as he netted the winning goal at the Amex to send his side seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.

It was a night to remember for the England international as he once again wrote his name into Gunners history in more ways than one.

Ahead making his milestone appearance, Saka was named in the starting lineup and as captain for the trip to Brighton, leading his side out in yet another crucial game in the title race.

The winger ended up being the matchwinner as he netted the decisive goal after just nine minutes when he cut in from the right to beat Bart Verbruggen with a deflected shot from distance.

With that proving to be the decider and Manchester City being held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest, Saka fired his side seven points clear at the top of the league with eight games to play. A potentially pivotal night for the title race.

Saka likely wouldn't have wanted to celebrate his 300th appearance in any other way as he led a side that are in an incredibly different situation to when he represented his boyhood club for the first time in a 3-0 Europa League win away to Vorskla Poltava in November 2018.

It wasn't the first time the winger has hit a milestone this season as he made his 200th Premier League appearance for the Gunners earlier in the season, as well as registering his 100th goal contribution in the top flight, both feats coming in a 2-0 victory at home to West Ham back in October.

The win over the Hammers was the game that saw Arsenal go to the top of the league, where they have sat since.

Saka made even more history with his 300th Gunners game as he became the fourth youngest player to reach that many appearances for the club, behind David O'Leary, Cesc Fabregas and Liam Brady.

Despite battling injuries and inconsistency, this season is shaping up to be a brilliant campaign for Saka and he will be hoping he can end it with much needed silverware as he looks to help guide his boyhood club to their first league title in 22 years.
