Arsenal will have to go to Paris and win in the second leg of its Champions League clash to progress to the final.
The assignment for Arsenal in its second leg clash against PSG in the Champions League is the same as the quarter-final against Real Madrid - win.
After the 1-0 loss to the French side that saw Ousmane Dembele score inside five minutes, the Gunners now have to go to Paris and win to progress to the Champions League final.
Luis Enrique's side was in blistering form in the opening 20-odd minutes, and after Dembele scored, the visitors then had a few superb chances to put the tie to bed, and on another day, they would have, but the Gunners managed to avoid that, and what would have been a crushing defeat.
After that initial 20-minute burst from the visitors, Arsenal did get a foothold in the game, and one could make the case that the Gunners should have at least equalized or managed to take the lead. At the same time, PSG in the second half had several chances themselves to double their lead but failed to convert.
Arsenal must be proactive in second leg
That makes the second leg tricky to predict given both sides could have easily won with a dominating scoreline, but alas, it sits at a nervous 1-0.
If PSG are the ones to score first in Paris, the Gunners' already tough assignment becomes nearly impossible, which much like the Real Madrid clash in the first leg of the quarter-finals, Mikel Arteta's side must come out swinging and snag an early goal.
Not many are confident Arsenal can go and beat PSG on their own turf, but the Gunners still have belief.
“We know we have a really good team, a powerful team, and we are really confident that we're going to win the second leg," Mikel Merino said via arsenal.com. "I think people are optimistic. We can't wait to go to Paris.”

At least the path forward and game plan will be clear for Arteta and Arsenal - win.
Simple, right? Not exactly, but knowing that at least one goal (would then be penalties after extra-time) is needed, and in an ideal world, two or three, while PSG are held scoreless, will see the Gunners to progress.
Arsenal did it away at Real Madrid, now it must do it again, but this assignment feels a whole lot tougher.
Can the Gunners do it? A fast start is key in making sure they give themselves the best chance.
