Declan Rice just seems to always impress on a big Champions League night at the Emirates Stadium. If his free kick goals against Real Madrid earlier this year and his constant top performances hadn't already done so, his showing in Arsenal's 3-1 win over Bayern Munich certainly showed his world class status.
Amid an outstanding team display, the midfielder was comfortably a standout performer as he had an impact in all areas of the pitch to help his side to victory.
Many still laugh at how much the Gunners paid for Rice and some claim he isn't one of the world's best midfielders, but he proved all of those wrong with his performance against the Bundesliga champions.

There was simply nothing Rice could do wrong as he led an outstanding team performance with his own dominant display in midfield.
Coming up against Joshua Kimmich, Aleksandar Pavlovic and arguably the world's best attack, the England international looked so comfortable as he had an influence all over the pitch.
His second half showing was what caught the eye as he helped his side dominate the period and eventually go onto win the game. His two biggest moments came when he made a brilliant run into the box from his own half and shot only to be denied by Manuel Neuer before winning back possession to kickstart the move that ended in the Gunners' second goal.
Winning 100% of his tackles, creating three chances and contributing in all areas of attack and defence, Rice was involved whenever possible as operated as the perfect number eight, offering plenty in either half.
He never gave up running, whenever he had the ball and with his side out of possession, doing so much to put pressure on Bayern. The midfielder simply ran the entire game with his composure and control.
Now of course, it's no strange sight to see a player put in a performance like this, but not everyone who does so gets labelled 'world class'. The difference with Rice is that he did it against, on form, the best side in the world and it's not the first time he's done so.
He consistently puts in top performances week in, week out for Arsenal and his showing against Bayern was just the icing on the cake. Plenty had already argued that he was world class, but there were still doubters. However, he put that status on clear display in the Champions League win and no one can deny that Rice is a world class midfielder.
