Djed Spence just threw the weirdest shade at Arsenal after they lost the Champions League final on penalties against Paris Saint Germain on Saturday night.

Arsenal played a good game, with a style that no one has seen them play with, and it almost worked. They were leading the game for the majority of regulation time, and only conceded through a penalty.

The same old story continued till penalties, but unfortunately, they ended up on the losing side, after Gabriel and Eberechi Eze missed their penalties in the shootout.

Despite this, they should hold their heads high after a brilliant season - at least, that is what the Arsenal fans think.

Spence, on the other hand, felt entitled to comment on the matter, and reposted a video that Arsenal had put up on their X channel a few months ago.

The video involved Bukayo Saka and Cristhian Mosquera defending well against Spence, and winning the ball, with the caption, "Locked up".

Spence reposted that with an eyes emoji and an unlocked emoji.

What's the point? How does that make this a big comeback? Spence very clearly loses the ball to Saka and Mosquera in the video, and the caption said nothing else.

What is the point of reposting this now with those emojis? It does not even say anything about the game. PSG did not really unlock Arsenal's defense all game up. The only goal they scored came from a penalty. If anything, Arsenal were the more defensive side, and Saka helped minimise Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's impact by defending well.

If this is an attempt of being cheeky about their rivalry and somehow trying to relate it to the loss, then, it is a massive failure.

Of course, the elephant in the room must be addressed, too. Spurs have just had their worst season in recent history. Spence was not all that special for them this season. They did not beat Arsenal in any of their games. They barely survived relegation on the last day of the Premier League by two points.

How does Spence think that this was the best tweet for him to put out? If you simply think of the rivalry and ignore the context of Spurs being one of the worst teams in the league this season, even then, the comeback or dig itself does not make any sense.
