Eberechi Eze has been a brilliant addition to this Arsenal side. He has worked his way into the starting XI from the get-go, and is now one of Mikel Arteta's most reliable players.

It is not just the numbers that make Eze a brilliant addition to this team. While they help a lot, it is also the underlying metrics that have made him one of the better signings of the season for any team.

Eze simply makes Arsenal's attack tick, whether he plays on the left, or centrally. He makes things happen for the Gunners, who have been able to use his qualities a lot more since Martin Odegaard's injury.

Eze has been playing for England as well, as he was picked for the international break to face Serbia and Albania.

Eze scored against Serbia in the 90th minute after coming on for Marcus Rashford in the 66th, and basically saw out the win for England.

In doing so, he reminded Arsenal fans of Emile Smith Rowe, even though he did not mean to.

Eze reminded Arsenal fans of Smith Rowe in the least expected way

After scoring a goal for his country, it was the first time since November 2021, and the fifth time in general, that two Arsenal players scored for England in the same game.

Bukayo Saka scored in both of these games, while the other Arsenal player who scored in the game in 2021 was none other than Smith Rowe.

It has also been a while since Arsenal have had many players in the attack and as attacking midfielders in the last few years.

Saka is the obvious answer for one of them - he has that right-wing spot nailed down for the next decade or so - but apart from him, many of these players are defenders and midfielders.

Declan Rice is the only other player in the England XI that starts for Arsenal in every single game, and apart from him, there is not much - at least for now - to choose from.

Eze's arrival has changed a lot of those things, which is good. He pops up in spaces which usually are not there for England or Arsenal. He knows when to make a run, when to make that final pass, and when to shoot.

Ethan Nwaneri is a name that will inevitably play a lot of minutes for Arsenal in the future, but he is very young at the moment, and is only playing for the U21s.

So, Eze is a good option to have for the present and near future, and hopefully, fans see a lot of goals from him for both club and country.
