Every Arsenal nomination for the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony

The nominations for each award category in the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony have now been revealed and Arsenal have a number of candidates up for the prizes.

Every year, the ceremony recognises the best players, clubs and coaches in men's and women's football for the previous season.

The Gunners' impressive 2025/26 campaign which saw them win the Premier League and reach the finals of the Champions League and Carabao Cup, has earned them a number of nominations while Arsenal Women are also in with a shout following their FIFA Women's Champions Cup triumph.

Every Arsenal nomination for the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony

Ballon d'Or

Arsenal have seen three players nominated for the biggest prize with Declan Rice, Gabriel Magalhães and William Saliba all put forward as candidates for one of football's most prestigious awards.

Rice ran himself into the ground for the Gunners last season, making 55 appearances across all competitions to help his side compete on all fronts. He also played a key part as England reached the semi-finals of the World Cup, ultimately finishing third in their best performance since their 1966 victory.

Gabriel and Saliba formed a brilliant defensive partnership once again as their side kept 19 clean sheets in the Premier League and a record-equalling nine shutouts in the Champions League.

Ballon d'Or Féminin

Arsenal Women have two names in the running for the Ballon d'Or Féminin with Mariona Caldentey and Alessia Russo nominated for the second straight year.

The pair were integral to the Gunners' victory in the inaugral FIFA Women's Champions Cup, as well as managing a second-place finish in the Women's Super League and a run to the Champions League semi-finals.

Caldentey played in all 22 of Arsenal's WSL games while Russo struck an impressive 24 times in 40 matches across all competitions.

Yashin Trophy

Following a sensational 2025/26 campaign that saw him win the Premier League Golden Glove for the third straight season, David Raya is in the running for the top goalkeeper award.

He kept 19 clean sheets in the league to claim the prize, as well as managing a record-equalling nine shutouts in the Champions League, totalling to 28 in all competitions.

One-time Gunners target Joan Garcia is also named among the nominations while former Arsenal shotstopper Emiliano Martinez will be eager to get his hands on the award for a third time.

Johan Cruyff Trophy

Having finally tasted league glory with Arsenal, Mikel Arteta is named as one of the candidates for best men's coach of the year.

The Spaniard took charge of 63 matches in the 2025/26 season, managing a 69.84% win percentage with 44 victories secured. His side netted an impressive 121 goals and conceded 43 times as they won the Premier League, finished as runners-up in the Champions League and Carabao Cup, and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Club of the Year

Arsenal enjoyed a brilliant overall 2025/26 campaign, and while they only won the Premier League after being touted as potential quadruple winners, their season was still incredibly impressive and clearly enough to earn them a nomination for club of the year.

The Gunners will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Arsenal Women, who claimed the award following their 2025 Champions League success.
