Gabriel Magalhaes made his 200th appearance for Arsenal in their 2-1 win over Girona on Wednesday night.

Since joining the club from Lille in 2020, the Brazilian has evolved into one of the best defenders in the world and in recent years has formed a formidable centre back partnership with William Saliba. Gabriel's brilliance has not been limited to defence as he has shown how lethal he can be in the opposition box, having scored 20 goals so far in his Gunners career.

As Arsenal's number six celebrates reaching a significant milestone for the club, let's take a look at his five best performances as a Gunner.

At the start of one of the worst seasons in Arsenal's recent history came Gabriel's debut at Fulham. The Brazilian played more than a significant part in a 3-0 win, scoring a goal as well as being somewhat of an immovable force at the back.

Gabriel was defensively solid, keeping the attacking threat of Aboubakar Kamara and Aleksandar Mitrovic to a minimum. He battled well with his opponents, winning six out of nine attempted duels, and also completed 108 passes, the most of any player in the match.

The defender's star moment came just after the break however when, in what now seems to be trademark Gabriel fashion, he headed in from a corner to double his new side's lead and mark his debut with a goal. His performance at Fulham was very much a sign of things to come for Gabriel at Arsenal.
