With his side starting to cement their place as title contenders, Gabriel played a significant part in a hard-fought win away to Leeds.
The Brazilian was extremely hard to beat at the back, winning three tackles and eight duels. He also made four blocks and four clearances to help Arsenal keep a clean sheet.
There was a slight moment of madness in stoppage time when Gabriel was sent off for supposedly kicking out at Patrick Bamford. However, he was deemed to have been pushed by the striker and had his punishment decreased to a yellow card to bring an end to a brilliant defensive performance.
