1. Arsenal 5-0 Crystal Palace (January 2024)

In serious need of a win to get themselves back in the title race, Gabriel stepped up for Arsenal in both attack and defence against Crystal Palace.
If there was any game that truly showed just how much of a threat the Brazilian is from set pieces, this was the one. He used his physicality to rise above Chris Richards and head in from a Declan Rice corner. Gabriel then grabbed a second before half-time, heading past Dean Henderson to extend his side's lead. While this was initially given as an own goal, a Gunners appeal saw their number six awarded the credit.
Gabriel made sure to do his job in defence alongside his corner heroics. He made one block and five clearances. His dominance over the Palace attack showed as he won eight duels and also drew three fouls.
