Gabriel Jesus has had a pretty good return from injury this season, and Arsenal fans cannot be happier.

After spending 11 months on the sidelines, Jesus has finally returned to the pitch, and has played quite a few minutes already in these last couple of months. He has also scored some important goals, and just looks like the Jesus of old, which is great.

Despite signing Viktor Gyokeres to improve the attack, Jesus still provides this team with a lot of value. He is still the most technically gifted number nine that Arsenal have. He still has a lot left in his tank, and he shows his value every time he steps onto the pitch.

He provides the team with a lot of smart movement, linkup, and dribbling ability that is otherwise hard to find in other players, and it will be good for Arsenal if that happens more often than not.

Gabriel Jesus may have just solved Mikel Arteta’s attacking dilemma

In fact, Jesus was asked about exactly that. Co-existing with his fellow strikers, playing in different positions, and while answering this question, he may have just given Mikel Arteta a brilliant idea.

He said: "I like to be on the pitch, I like to be walking around trying to play between the lines. I think I have the capacity to play in the four positions up front. To play with Viktor Gyökeres or even Kai Havertz is good.”

Playing with one of these strikers would unlock so much potential in the attack for Arsenal, and people do not mention it enough.

Arsenal, at the moment, are usually sluggish in attack, and there is a lack of movement or a linking pin there to make everything smoother. People were hoping for that to be Kai Havertz, but after his new injury, Arteta may have to rely on Gabriel Jesus in a different way.

Starting him alongside Gyokeres, rather than bringing him on for the Swedish international, was a brilliant way for him to get valuable minutes as well as bring the best out of both of these players against Wigan Athletic.

Jesus has clearly mentioned that he does not mind playing any position in attack, so having him start on the left and drift inside to support Gyokeres and unlock space for him would be a pretty good way to get both of them on the same pitch.

Similarly, playing both of them as strikers, or playing Jesus just behind Gyokeres, could also prove to be impactful. Jesus' technical ability is underrated, and having both of them on the pitch could do more good than harm.
