Arsenal remains six points behind league leader Liverpool, but Gabriel Jesus is confident that his team can overtake Arne Slot's side.
Prior to the international break, Arsenal looked to have sealed its Premier League title fate after a run of four games without a win as Liverpool cruised to a big lead at the summit.
But post the international break, the Gunners appear to have hit form, rattling off six wins in their last eight league outings to rocket to second in the league table.
However given the start that Mikel Arteta's side has given Liverpool, Arne Slot's side are still six points clear of the Gunners and have a game in hand, so the lead could balloon out to nine points.
That presents a herculean challenge for the Gunners to overcome. The margin for error is nearly non-existent, and given that we are halfway through the season, that isn't ideal.
However, Gabriel Jesus is more than confident in his team's ability to overtake Liverpool at the summit of the Premier League.
"I've been there before, and I see this team has what it takes," Jesus said to TNT Sports via The Sporting News. "We're experienced now, with amazing players. I'm confident we can fight for the title."
With the hamstring injury to Bukayo Saka that will keep the England international sidelined for around eight weeks, Arsenal's task has gotten significantly harder.
Of course, the return to form of Jesus along with Gabriel Martinelli and the emergence of Ethan Nwaneri to help cover the loss, the Gunners so far, haven't missed a beat.
Naturally, having Saka in the side makes Arsenal far more dangerous, but with the winger not available, the Gunners now have an air of unpredictability about them, and that, in turn, could be the ace in Mikel Arteta's deck.
With Saka in the side, so much of Arsenal's attacking play went down his flank, and that made curtailing him far easier, given that teams knew where the ball was always going to go (because, of course).
But now, Jesus, Martinelli, and Nwaneri have all popped up and contributed going forward, and so too Kai Havertz and even Mikel Merino, who chipped in with a goal in the 3-1 win over Brentford.
The task of claiming a first title since 2004 remains alive, but Arsenal knows there is no margin for error. Despite that, Jesus is confident that the Gunners can reel in Liverpool, with the unpredictability of Arsenal's attack maybe paving the way for a genuine shot at glory.
