Martin Zubimendi (DM) - 8/10 - Contributed to Arsenal's more direct approach with his range of passing and positioning. Registered an assist with the cross for Gyokeres' opening goal. Played the whole 90 minutes and oozed class throughout. The best player on the pitch today.
Declan Rice (MF) - 6.5/10 - Not a vintage RIce performance by any means. This was a workmanlike effort and he relished getting in amongst it at times. Was targeted physically by the Spanish outfit. Gave the ball away from a short corner in the 80th minute but made amends by sprinting 60 yards to win the ball back. Replaced after 82 minutes by Mikel Merino.
Martin Odegaard (AMC) - 7.5/10 - An excellent perfomance from the Arsenal captain. With willing runners in behind, Odegaard had plenty of opportunities to make key passes. Was instrumental in the first Arsenal goal. Replaced by Ethan Nwaneri after 82 minutes.
