Arsenal struggled to create clear-cut chances against Manchester United but how can the Gunners get back to what served them well against PSV?
Arsenal, going forward have been such a tough read this season, largely in part to the sheer number of injuries in the final third.
After a 7-1 hammering of PSV, there was a thought that maybe Mikel Arteta found a solution of sorts with Mikel Merino, Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard all clicking and Arsenal slamming home three goals inside the first 30 minutes.
Our question was whether it was an outlier or a sign of things to come.
Against Manchester United in a 1-1 draw, the Gunners, despite dominating the contest, just couldn't find that killer pass to get the game's first goal. But once they went behind, things started to open up, and Declan Rice scored the equalizer.
So that begs a rather important question as attention turns to the Round of 16 second leg against PSV.
How can Arsenal help goal-scoring woes?
While Arsenal has never had a problem creating chances, it's the quality and value of them that has been hard to come by.
After such a superb performance against PSV, is it a matter of doing exactly what the Gunners did a week ago?
"There's always improvement and from the other day, we already talked about a lot of situations that we could have done better because the situations are there," Arteta said via arsenal.com. "It's about execution in football and that's why you can do X, and my job is to give the team as many tools as possible, reassurance and confidence that we can deliver again."

So Arteta gave them the right tools against PSV and a dominating performance followed, but now with the tie in hand, this could present Arteta with the chance to try some things that he otherwise wouldn't be able to aside from on the training ground.
Of course, the tie still isn't over despite the score, but Arsenal is in a very strong position, and it could be used as another get-well card for the Gunners as Chelsea appears on the horizon at the weekend.
Arsenal has been up-and-down for so much of the season and yes, the attacking injuries have played a part, but maybe it is as simple as getting a Gabriel Martinelli back who can ignite that attacking and creative spark?
