Bukayo Saka (RW) - 5/10 - Saka was subdued, but his quiet night could be explained in part by Arsenal's strange reluctance to get him the ball. The wing wizard's touches were restricted in open play, while Saka was also often denied the chance to take set-pieces, despite his delivery being the best at the club.
Kai Havertz (ST) - 5/10 - It was a mixed night for Kai Havertz. He was a half-yard off the play during the early exchanges, but dropping into midfield after the break seemed to liberate Arsenal's de facto frontman.
Sadly, his freedom came at the expense of a sure touch in attacking areas. Havertz wasted the best chance of the second half with a scuffed shot that allowed Inter to block. He also shanked a volley and misdirected a header with stoppage time looming, before the claret flowed from a nasty-looking head injury for the German.
Gabriel Martinelli (LW) - 6/10 - He was one of the standout performers when Arsenal edged past Shakhtar last time out in the Champions League, but Gabriel Martinelli couldn't find that extra something at the San Siro.
Martinelli's connection with Saka was just a little off, as was the Brazilian's shooting range and radar. Like many of his teammates, Martinelli was not work shy, but he was missing the composure and skill needed to turn games at this level.
