Jakub Kiwior's future at Arsenal remains open with several clubs interested in signing him, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Poland international seemed certain to be staying with the Gunners following a positive end to last season, during which he stepped in for the injured Gabriel Magalhaes, but with a number of clubs keen on securing his services, his spot in north London is no longer assured.

Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on keeping hold of Kiwior, but a move would be up to the defender with the possibility of more playing time likely to be a potential factor.

Arsenal have already rejected a proposal from a Portuguese side in July and that would signal they would prefer to keep hold of Kiwior, as per Arteta's wishes, but there is the possibility their minds could be changed by a bid of good value.

The defender proved how good he is in the second half of last season when he filled in for Gabriel on the left side of the backline. Despite some shakiness early on, he improved and put in good performances against the likes of Real Madrid and Newcastle.

His displays showed fans that he is arguably too good to be a backup option, something he is guaranteed to be once Gabriel returns to full fitness. That could be what prompts the Gunners to demand a decent fee to sanction a possible sale.

Kiwior is currently valued at €28million so Arsenal would likely want around that amount or potentially higher if they are to let him go this summer.

While losing the Pole would have a significant impact on squad depth, his sale could fund a move for another world-class player. With Eberechi Eze still regarded as a high priority target, the Gunners are currently focused on outgoings in order to increase funds. Selling Kiwior could make a large contribution toward such a move.

With several clubs interested in Kiwior, he could be persuaded to leave, especially with the possibility of being a regular first team starter. However, it does remain uncertain whether he will leave Arsenal. The club, specifically Arteta, are keen on keeping hold of him, but could let him depart if his sale funds another great signing.

Only time will tell for Kiwior's Gunners future and while it would be disappointing to see him leave just as he is starting to show his brilliance, the possibility of Arsenal receiving a high fee to fund another move may be too difficult to turn down.
