There are a lot of adjectives that can be used to describe what a gem Jurrien Timber has been for Arsenal since joining the club a couple of seasons ago.

Timber has just been an amazing asset to have for Arsenal once he recovered from his long-term injury and gained regular fitness.

The player was great last season, but even this season, it looks like he has taken more of a step in the right direction.

Somehow, he has improved substantially in so many ways, and everyone saw that first-hand against Bayern Munich as well as Tottenham Hotspur in the last few days.

Chelsea are next, and Timber's improvements will be key against the Blues as well.

Timber constantly wants to improve, and Arsenal fans love it

Timber was actually asked in a recent press conference about his season so far, and it is brilliant to see what answer he gave. Primarily because he just reaffirmed what Arsenal fans knew about him all along.

He said: "I'm just trying to get better every time, every game, every day. But I think it's also the environment, the culture we have here. I think everyone is trying to push each other, we have a big squad so also we have to push each other.

"But we're also trying to win something, so I think I'm in the right environment to better myself and become the best version of myself.

"I think the whole team is together. On and off the pitch, we are great together. I think the energy, the togetherness and the unity we need to use and bring to the pitch every game."

Everyone knew that Timber is one of the most hard working players Arsenal have in the squad right now. Everyone also knew how dedicated the player is to constantly improve and push himself to the limit.

Timber just confirmed it, and showed exactly why Arsenal signed him.

It was not just because of his defensive capabilities. It was not just because of the potential he has when he goes forward and combines with Bukayo Saka. It was not just because of his versatility to play multiple positions.

It is a mix of those things, and his sheer drive to succeed and improve at all costs. This guy seems to be a serial winner, and it won't be long before he is, if we look at the rate at which he is going.
