Kai Havertz wants to win more trophies than he did last season, he said after Arsenal's win over Girona in their pre-season tour of Ireland.
Arsenal beat the Spanish team 4-1 in Dublin on Saturday night, and Havertz was asked about what he thinks of the new season, and how he felt about the match they had just played.
He said: "I think it was a good win against Girona. You saw already the connections we had on the pitch. ‘It was a good test for us against a good team and I think we played strong. We need to continue like that now.
“Now is a new season, new standards and we need to do more to achieve our goals again. Of course, we had a good year last year but we want more trophies to make the fans happy and that’s what we’re here for.”

Havertz helped Arsenal win the Premier League with a game to spare, while also contributing to the team's final appearances in the Carabao Cup as well as the Champions League, where they narrowly lost on penalties.
Arsenal generally had a great season despite missing out on a few trophies, and they now have gotten rid of the extra pressure of winning a title under Mikel Arteta - and more importantly, winning the Premier League for the first time in two decades.
It will definitely be difficult to win these trophies, but it would probably feel easier, at least mentally, to play a final the next time they do so. Being Premier League champions is not a thing anyone can say - it is a collective effort that lasts for almost a full year, and making you cross the finish line could only make you feel more confident about not just the next league campaign, but also finals.
Of course, Arsenal lost the Champions League final against Paris Saint Germain last season, but that was a different type of narrow defeat that, once again, Arsenal will learn a lot from. It was a loss that Mikel Arteta would have learned a lot from as well, and it is really important for the team to go through these defeats, as they, too, make you stronger for the finals yet to be played.
If Arsenal end up signing a certain Brazilian midfielder and a Brazilian winger this summer, their chances of winning everything go from good to great, but that remains a topic for another article.
