The 2025/26 Premier League season is upon us! Arsenal begin their campaign on Sunday afternoon as they face a tough test with a trip to Manchester United.
The Gunners head into the term off the back of a busy summer and mixed pre-season. Mikel Arteta welcomed six new arrivals to the club and oversaw a tour of Asia as well as two games at the Emirates Stadium. His side concluded their preparations with a 3-0 win over Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
Following on from one of their worst seasons in history, United also splashed the cash ahead of the new campaign and endured a similar pre-season to Arsenal. Ruben Amorim's side went unbeaten, but won just two of their five games.
Arteta will be hoping his side can begin their season with a victory as they look to finally end their long wait to win the Premier League title, but United will find themselves in a similar position and will want to start strong.
Here's our preview of Arsenal's season opener at Man United.

Man United vs Arsenal score prediction
Both sides will be desperate to start their season with a win in order to put their previous campaigns behind them. However, that makes this tie a very difficult one to call.
Arsenal will be the favourites given they arguably boast the better squad and have been a far superior side to United over the past few years. Now with a deadly goalscorer leading their attack, they will be ready to cause their hosts plenty of problems.
The Red Devils have made alterations to the side that finished 15th last season and will be ready to go charging into this campaign by being a source of trouble for the Gunners.
This game will certainly be tight. Being a fierce rivalry game, form will play little to no part, with that even further reinforced by this being a season opener. There won't be much to seperate the two on Sunday.
