With Arsenal four points clear at the top of the Premier League table in the opening days of the January transfer window, it seems as if they won't be needing to do any mid-season business.
Despite a number of injuries doing their best to derail their title ambitions, the Gunners have held on so far with their squad depth proving crucial throughout periods of poor fitness. Their strong recruitment in the summer has prevented from needing any further additions in the winter.
However, Mikel Arteta and his side could be willing to do business if suitable opportunities arise with the Spaniard keen on exploring available options.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of his side's trip to Bournemouth, Arteta was quizzed on whether any arrivals in the January window would be in the form of a loan or short-term signing.
He said: "We are open to every option. Obviously if we can find a solution that is short, medium and long, it’s always much better because it gives you stability and you don’t have to constantly start a process with a new player, but let’s see what happens, let’s see what the news is in the next few weeks and we’ll try to make the right decision."
It sure does sound like the Gunners boss would be keen on adding another name or two to his squad if the opportunity did arise, and not many could blame if the club did chase another new addition.
Previous lack of action in the January window has ended up playing at least some role in Arsenal's failure to achieve their season goals. Midway through the 2021/22 season, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang departed the club and with Alexandre Lacazette off form, many felt a new striker was needed. However, no transfer action was taken and they eventually failed to qualify for the Champions League.
No transfers, with the only real attempt being a frankly pathetic approach for Ollie Watkins, did the Gunners no favours last campaign. Their performances had been way below par, but a new face in the side could have reignited the spark and helped them chase Liverpool down for the title, but no action meant they couldn't put a dent in the Reds' ultimately successful bid.
While signing a new player isn't exactly a priority for Arsenal, it is refreshing to know that Arteta is open to any options that could present themselves over the coming month. If a suitable target does become available, the Gunners should not hesitate in making an approach.
