Arsenal, as good as they have been, can still improve. There are things that they can improve on, especially in attack, and even then, they are performing at a very high level.

Arsenal are winning most of their games, they are top of the Premier League table, they are also top of the Champions League table. Things are looking good, even after the loss to Aston Villa.

It is clear that that there are things to improve on still, and there are things that are also out of both Arsenal's and Arteta's control: injuries.

As a fanbase, Arsenal's faithful have to consider that as well. Even though there is no excuse for Arsenal dropping some valuable points, injuries have obviously contributed to that. They have missed their starting strikers, their starting central defenders and so many other players due to one injury or the other.

So, it is needless to say that while the blame is on Arsenal for dropping so many points right after gaining a substantial lead over Manchester City and Chelsea, there are things they can't control.

One of those injured players is Kai Havertz, who has not played a single game for the club since the opening week of the Premier League. He has been struggling with an injury for the longest time, and although he is edging towards a return, he still needs a few weeks.

Mikel Arteta's plan for Kai Havertz makes little sense

However, Arteta's plan for Havertz, according to Isaan Khan, does not make too much sense.

Khan of Daily Mail reports that Arteta wants to make Havertz his first choice option once he returns from his injury.

He has a special affection for the German International, and even in the games where he does not play as a striker, Arsenal will find a place for him in the lineup.

In some games, that will make sense. Havertz's ability to find spaces and move intelligently cannot be questioned, but why did they then spend so much money on signing Viktor Gyokeres in the summer?

Was it not for Gyokeres to play most of the minutes at striker and score goals? Gyokeres has not been able to score that many for Arsenal so far, but it is clear that it is his bread and butter. And he has even improved in other aspects, such as his passing and link-up play.

Having Havertz back in the lineup will no doubt bring some things to this team that were missing before. However, it will take the obvious goal-threat away, too.

Havertz is fully capable of scoring a decent amount of goals, but having him play there all the time would make no sense.

Even on paper, Gyokeres will command more respect from opposition defenses, that would create more space for his teammates.

I don't think there is any harm in playing the German in some games, or against some specific teams, but Gyokeres was brought in for one very simple reason: to score goals. If Arsenal already had that, they would not have signed him in the first place.

So, it remains to be seen what actually ends up happening. It may even push Gyokeres to find his feet, but I don't think it's a good idea to
