Mikel Merino was the hero for Arsenal against Chelsea as he headed in an equalising goal to secure a point for his side in a 1-1 London derby draw.
It was the Spaniard's 10th Premier League goal having scored nine in the top flight since joining the Gunners and netting one during his time at Newcastle.
As he hit a decade of goals in England's top division, Merino did something only one player previously has in the league and in doing so, joined an exclusive and certainly unique club.
Mikel Merino just did something only one Premier League player ever has
70% - Mikel Merino has scored his 10th Premier League goal, seven of which have been headed (70%). Among all non-defenders with 10+ goals in the competition's history, only James Scowcroft (71% - 10/14) has scored a higher ratio with his head. Bonce. pic.twitter.com/kaYg3664uE

Merino's strike against Chelsea was his seventh headed goal and that meant 70% of his finishes have came via that scoring method.
He joins a long list of players to have scored at least 10 goals, but out of all non-defenders to have achieved that feat, there is only one with a higher headed goal ratio. Ex-Ipswich Town and Leicester City striker James Scowcroft netted 14 times in the league with 10 of those being headers, giving him a 71% ratio.
Given he has spent just one-and-a-half seasons in the Premier League, it is very impressive that Merino has done something that only one player has ever done in the league.
However, it is no surprise he has achieved this. Having stood in as a makeshift striker for the Gunners for plenty of the last 10 months, he has popped up with a number of important goals for his side, both in the league and other competitions.
Standing at 6ft 2in, Merino is always a threat in the opposition box, whether he is playing up front or in his natural midfield position, and he has certainly made that count.
As the Spain international looks to continue being a threatening force for Arsenal, there is a real possibility he could go onto surpass Scowcroft's record and taking over such a unique stat would be the icing on the cake for his unexpected but eventful and productive spell as a striker.
