Myles Lewis-Skelly offered to two of Arsenal's biggest rivals

Myles Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Chelsea and Manchester United in view of a potential move away from Arsenal, according to multiple reports.

The young midfielder broke back into the Gunners first team in the run-in of the 2025/26 season as he helped his side to five straight wins in the run-in, eventually winning the Premier League title as well as reaching the final of the Champions League.

These rumours come as a huge shock considering the potential Lewis-Skelly has shown since first coming through under Mikel Arteta, but it does look like his future at his boyhood club is at risk.

Tom Canton and Bobby Vincent of Football London first broke the news on Tuesday morning with talkSPORT's Alex Crook and Ben Jacobs following suit to corroborate the reports.

Lewis-Skelly is said to have been offered to multiple Premier League clubs with Chelsea and Man United among those presented with the possibility of securing his services.

Arsenal are reportedly open to selling the Hale End graduate following the arrival of Bruno Guimarães last week with a big offer potentially tempting them into sanctioning his departure, but it is not currently clear if the club or his agent are the ones who have offered his services.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in the 2024/25 season as he made 39 first team appearances to evolve into Mikel Arteta's first-choice left back ahead of Riccardo Calafiori and Oleksandr Zinchenko. Lewis-Skelly won over fans with his performances, especially his goal and celebration in a 5-1 win over Manchester City in February 2025.

His showings earned him a long-term contract extension last summer, reportedly keeping him in North London until 2030, but his luck changed just months after putting pen to paper. Riccardo Calafiori's good start to the 2025/26 campaign and the arrival of Piero Hincapié from Bayer Leverkusen led to Lewis-Skelly losing his place on the left side of defence.

He was made to rely on the cup competitions for appearances and struggled to find minutes in the Premier League until the run-in. With Martín Zubimendi suffering from the physical demands of several competitions, his English counterpart was brought into midfield and he impressed as he started in three of the Gunners' last four games and the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite his resurgence, his future remains under threat with the signing of Guimarães and Zubimendi's refresh potentially causing him to fall down the pecking order once again and maybe forcing a move away from the club.

Lewis-Skelly wouldn't be the first bright Arsenal star to leave the North Londoners for either Chelsea or Man United. Ashley Cole and Cesc Fàbregas enjoyed successful careers with the Blues while Robin van Persie won the league after swapping the Emirates Stadium for Old Trafford.

Selling Lewis-Skelly would be absolutely disastrous for Arsenal. He has not reached anywhere near his full potential yet and at just 19, he still has so much to offer his boyhood club, and allowing him to leave for one of their biggest rivals will be a mistake they will rue forever. However, these are just rumours for now and supporters will be hoping that remains the case.
