Arsenal switch their focus back to the Premier League as they take on Newcastle at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners returned to winning ways with a 2-0 Carabao Cup victory at Port Vale last time out. Eberechi Eze grabbed his first goal for the club to put his side ahead before Leandro Trossard sealed the win with a fine finish late on.
Newcastle also secured progression to the next round of the cup in their latest outing, with a thumping 4-1 win over Bradford City. Braces from Joelinton and William Osula fired the Magpies to victory.
Despite their respective cup triumphs, both sides failed to win in their most recent league games, drawing to Manchester City and Bournemouth respectively. As a result, Mikel Arteta and Eddie Howe will both be hoping their teams can nick the three points in what will be an exciting clash on Sunday.

Arsenal team news
Mikel Arteta will have some decisions to make as he could switch his side round once again for the trip to St James' Park.
Eberechi Eze could continue in a central position after impressing in the role against Port Vale. He could face competition from captain Martin Odegaard though as the skipper looks to make his return from injury. Arteta confirmed he will be training ahead of the game.
With Noni Madueke out for two months, Bukayo Saka will remain the starting option on the right wing. After coming off the bench against Manchester City, he managed to play just over an hour against the Valiants before being replaced by Max Dowman.
Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz remain long-term absentees while it is currently unclear if Piero Hincapie will return to the matchday squad on Sunday.

Newcastle vs Arsenal score prediction
With both sides eager to get back to winning ways in the league, this will be a close encounter at St James' Park. That makes this a difficult game to call.
With their threat in attack and brilliant defence, Arsenal will fancy themselves of taking a result, but relies on their forward players turning up and putting on a display.
Newcastle on the other hand will be looking to their recent impressive record against the Gunners as they aim to take the three points. Arteta has overseen just two victories in six trips to Tyneside, but he will be looking to change that on Sunday.
This matchup has the potential to see either side cancel the other out in a number of areas. There won't be much to separate the teams this weekend.
