Arsenal fans are enjoying their week more than fans of any other football club in the world.

Their team had beaten Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby a few days ago.

And right after that, they've just beaten the best offensive team in world football at the moment in Bayern Munich. And they did it without some of their most important players.

Viktor Gyokeres wasn't there. Gabriel wasn't there. Kai Havertz wasn't there. And they still managed to score three goals and only concede one against Bayern Munich, who have Harry Kane firing on all cylinders for them this season.

Even though there have been a few injuries for Arsenal as of late, there was one returnee in particular that was fairly ecstatic at the prospect of coming back.

He's also one of the players who Arsenal signed over the summer and he just so happens to play his former club on the weekend.

Noni Madueke came on in the second half against Arsenal and immediately had an instant impact where he scored a goal and was a lively presence throughout the remainder of the game.

He seems to be well up for it.

Noni Madueke is well up for the challenge against Chelsea

He said: “I can’t wait! You go eight weeks without the thing you love the most in the world, so you are chomping at the bit to just be on the pitch.

"First vs second, they’ve got a top team, we’re a top team so it’s going to be a good game."

And it is going to be a really good game. There is no doubt about it. Arsenal are six points clear of the second-place team in the Premier League., and the second-place team happens to be Chelsea at the moment.

You could even say this game against Chelsea is even more important than the game against Bayern Munich solely because of how much it can impact the Premier League table.

Even if Arsenal had lost or drawn the game against Bayern Munich, they would have still been well on their way to achieving what they want to achieve in that competition.

They still would have been in the top four of the Champions League and that is what their goal is. But now they have the opportunity to have the best of both worlds.

They can be nine points clear of their West London rivals, Chelsea, in the Premier League. If more results open up for them the way they have opened up in the past few weeks, then their six-point lead could even be a bit more.

And judging by how Arsenal are playing, that could easily happen.
