People criticise Arsenal for signing these talented players, but they don't realise that they have quite a few talented players from their academy as well.

This season saw Arsenal strengthen their positions of utmost need, such as a striker, a winger, a pivot and a back-up central defender (or two).

Their total spend in these last few years is very high, understandably so, but because of that, people forget that their academy is fully capable of producing brilliant talents.

Max Dowman is one, who has already started featuring for England's U19s despite being just 16 years of age.

Another player is Ethan Nwaneri, and he, to quote Thierry Henry for the billionth time, has been cooking.

Arsenal have a brilliant talent in Ethan Nwaneri

He featured in England U21's match against Kazakhstan U21 in this international break, and was named the player of the match once again.

He scored the opening goal of the game, a brilliant strike from the edge of the box to give his side the lead, before Jobe Bellingham doubled it five minutes later.

It was not just the goal, though. Nwaneri was oozing past his opponents at will, creating great chances for himself and his teammates, while looking like one of the best young players in the country.

He also had a brilliant free-kick attempt saved by the goalkeeper in the second half.

It is crazy to think Arsenal really have a player like Nwaneri as well as a player like Dowman in the same team.

If Arsenal can properly manage the talents of both and give them a platform to play and coexist in the next few years - a feat that is incredibly tough to manage since both of these players are very similar - we are looking at another great era for Arsenal.

As I said, though, this is really tough to manage. It is not just the players themselves that are similar, it is also that the players they will replace in the lineup are not that old.

One of them would ideally have to translate into being the heir to Martin Odegaard, while the other would have to compete with Bukayo Saka. I really don't think either of them is leaving anytime soon, so it depends on the situation in a few years' time.

Saka is 24, while Odegaard is 26. At the same time, Dowman does not have to worry about being a starter as long as he keeps getting minutes here and there until he is a bit more mature as a football player.

Nwaneri is a bit further into his development, but he is showing an exceptionally high level of quality in the games he is playing. So, it remains to be seen how Mikel Arteta and Arsenal manage this headache in a few years.
