Positive #2: Defended so bravely

Many a team have wilted in the face of Real Madrid's "aura" but Arsenal did anything but. The whole team defended against the threat of the hosts so bravely on Wednesday night.
David Raya was not required to make a single save in the first half, and that was largely down to the performances of the players in front of him. The Gunners' backline and the rest of the team managed to deal with the constant waves of Madrid pressure so well, and didn't give them a look in.
Arsenal will be disappointed not to have kept a clean sheet, and rightfully so given the manner of their concession, but every single player can pat themselves on the back after that performance. The collective effort was outstanding.
Negative #2: Saliba's risky mistake

While Arsenal did defend well for 99% of the game, Madrid's equaliser came from a mistake by William Saliba and that could have been ended up being disastrous.
The Frenchman's decision to dwell on the ball under pressure was questionable, to say the least, and if that had happened earlier in the game, the result could have been entirely different.
Thankfully for him, nothing came of it and his side still went onto win the game but that will definitely be something Saliba looks to work on from here on. Much like Saka's penalty miss, that risky mistake will be a tough lesson for Saliba to learn.
