Liverpool beware; this one's far from over. Arsenal spanking City 5-1 to start February initially looked like little more than a bittersweet reminder of what might've been had it not been for injuries and dodgy refereeing, but Liverpool wasting a late lead at Everton gave the Gunners a ray of hope.

Merino made sure Arsenal seized the initiative, and this win over Leicester puts momentum firmly in the red half of north London. The Liverpool lead is now just four points before Sunday's game against Wolves, an opponent with an underrated habit of making the Reds work for it at Anfield.

A Wednesday night trip to Aston Villa won't be any easier for the Premier League's table-toppers. Once the dust settles mid-week, it's entirely possible Arsenal could be facing a two-game points gap but with a game in hand.

If you don't think the title can be won from that slender gap with 13 games to go, your glass isn't half empty. It's been thrown onto the floor and trodden under front.

Why not raise a glass instead and toast Arteta and Co. still being within touching distance of the elusive prize?
