10 players who improved after leaving Arsenal
By Kian Long
10. Sylvinho
Arsene Wenger should have little regrets from his time as Arsenal manager, but selling Sylvinho is a decision he'd likely rethink, given the chance.
Sylvinho played for Arsenal for two seasons between 1999-2001, after singing from Corinthians. He had his injury problems with Arsenal, which is why he was sold to begin with. The left-back who was displaced by Ashley Cole went onto have an incredible career after leaving Arsenal, despite showing great signs of promise in an Arsenal jersey.
Sylvinho proved himself in La Liga when he signed for Celta, which convinced Barcelona to sign him. From there, the rest is history. Ironically, like Van Bronckhurst, Sylvinho won the Champions League against Arsenal in 2006. However, he was an unused sub in that match. Either way, he won two Champions League medals and three La Liga titles.
Which player do you think Arsenal should regret selling the most?
