8. Giovanni Van Bronckhorst
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst had an excellent career and he was great with Arsenal. It would be unfair to look at his time at Highbury with any disdain but he definitely did improve after leaving the Gunners.
Van Bronckhorst signed in 2001 but an injury ruined his introduction to North London. Still, he won the Premier League and the FA Cup in the pre-invincibles Arsenal side.
Eventually, Van Bronckhorst left the club in 2003 to sign for Barcelona, the club where he is most recognised alongside Rangers. For Barca, he won La Liga twice and, of course, the Champions League. Much to the annoyance of Arsenal fans, he was part of the Barcelona side who beat Arsenal in the 2006 Champions League final.
Still, he can be remembered fondly at both clubs and every club he has played at.
