Expect a major summer reshuffle in north London.

Arsenal are progressing at a linear rate under Mikel Arteta, and their 89-point haul in 2023/24 would suggest a title win is just around the corner. However, one of the all-time great teams is standing in the way of the ultimate goal, and they won't be going anywhere while that Catalonian mastermind is stil scheming at the Etihad.

Thus, the Gunners can ill afford to rest on their laurels. Their recruitment has got them in a position to challenge and almost usurp Manchester City, now they've got to go beyond them.

In order to facilitate the requisite signings, Arsenal are expected to part ways with a long list of players this summer. Here are 11 that could be on the chopping block.

1. Aaron Ramsdale

Golden Glove holder David Raya is not going to be relinquishing his number one status anytime soon, and Ramsdale is far too good to be wasting away on the bench.

2023/24 was perhaps the most difficult of the Englishman's career, yet he's still expected to make the Three Lions' Euro 2024 squad. However, he won't be competing for Jordan Pickford's spot unless he's earning regular minutes.

An exit is inevitable this summer with several Premier League clubs, including Newcastle. lurking.

2. Kieran Tierney

Tierney was once a fan's favourite in north London, but Arteta's utilisation of a left-back that operated centrally left the up-and-down Tierney surplus to requirements.

The Scot spent 2023/24 on loan at Real Sociedad where injuries struck, and he's fully expected to move on this summer. Tierney's accepted his status with the utmost humility and has loved his time in Spain.

Arsenal will seek a permanent sale, although another loan might have to do.

3. Nuno Taveres

The choatic Tavares certainly has no future with a title-challenging Arsenal.

His raw talent is undeniable, and he enjoyed a productive 2022/23 season with Marseille. However, 2023/24 was a bit of a write-off for the adventurous full-back, who struggled to feature at all for Nottingham Forest.

With Tavares returning to Arsenal from another loan spell without tremendous success, the Gunners will aim for a permanent exit this summer.

4. Oleksandr Zinchenko

Zinchenko's stock has plummeted at the Emirates. The Ukrainian set the world alight at the start of his Arsenal career, with his forays into central zones allowing Arsenal to control contests and progress the bacll upfield with impressive efficiency.

However, his decision-making has fallen off a cliff in year two, with an array of defensive weakness exploited often. Arteta has been reluctant to use his former lynchpin, with Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and even Jakub Kiwior ahead of him in the depth chart.

He still has value, though, and Arsenal could sell him for a decent fee if a suitor manifests this summer. Perhaps a strong Euros would aid the Gunners' ability to sell.
