Arsenal could be in the market for Nico Williams in the summer transfer window. It remains to be seen how serious Mikel Arteta's interest is but the interest is there regardless. With that in mind, let's take a look at the 2 winners and 4 losers from Arsenal signing Nico Williams in the summer transfer window...

2 winners and 4 losers from Arsenal signing Nico Williams in summer

Reiss Nelson (loser)

Throwing another winger into the equation only means one of two things for Reiss Nelson but both of the outcomes are bad. Either he stays at Arsenal and he becomes the third choice right-winger or he is sold to find game-time elsewhere.

Either way, Arsenal signing Nico Williams means that Reiss Nelson will miss out. In my opinion he should be sold anyway but with Arsenal chasing Williams, this likely confirms Nelson will be sold.

Bukayo Saka (winner)

However, the winger who is set to benefit the most from Nico Williams arriving is Bukayo Saka.

We must make one thing clear - Nico Williams is not signed to replace Bukayo Saka. In fact, he will be signed to provide sufficient backup at right-wing. Besides, Williams' strongest position is off the left anyway, it is just an added benefit to Saka that he finally has backup should he need to rest.
