Gabriel Martinelli (loser)

As things stand, the 2024/25 is a "now or never" season for Gabriel Martinelli. He had a poor 2023/24 campaign which can be forgiven but having two poor seasons back to back would be less than ideal for Gabriel Martinelli.

After all, he is already second fiddle to Leandro Trossard for that left-wing position. Including Nico Williams in the race could render Martinelli as third-in-command.

Leandro Trossard (loser)

Leandro Trossard has not had it easy at Arsenal. Despite showing immense moments of quality, he has had to play second-fiddle to Gabriel Martinelli for most of his short tenure. However, in 2024, Trossard showed an impressive quality to score goals which made him impossible to bench.

Unfortunately, signing Nico Williams does not make much sense from Trossard's perspective. It would only make life more difficult for the Belgian international.
