Think back to some of the games in which Arsenal's performances have excelled this season - Chances are, the two which spring to mind first are beating Manchester City and Liverpool, both at home. Now, expanding on those two matches, which player was a catalyst to both games? Gabriel Martinelli and his ability to be in the right place at the right time, that's who.
In both matches, Gabriel Martinelli was in the right place at the right time to capitalise on a floated ball being cushioned by a taller player than himself. Against City, it was Takehiro Tomiyasu who took on that role and against Liverpool it was, hilariously, a mixture of Virgil Van Dijk and Allison.
Bringing Onana into the team is only going to improve that tactic which Mikel Arteta can often adopt. The main beneficiary, if not the fans, will be Gabriel Martinelli, who has that killer's instinct to poach in moments like this.
